From Kevin, at The Education Network:
We've opened a new office in Leeds in September and expanded our Newcastle team with the appointment of Steph Davies to our Newcastle team. That's fairly exciting news for us :)
Meet the Leeds Team: Lee and Lauren!
From Marios at Step Teachers:
At the moment my attention is on Pensions as our auto enrolment date is March 2014; I think this is a date for many companies across a lot of industries. Similar to Holiday Pay and AWR this is something we'll have to work hard on and ensure we educate our supply teachers accordingly.
From Cherie-Anne at Aspire People:
Aspire People held an open day in a Leicester secondary school, introducing their candidates to the school, and the school to their candidates! Read more about it here: A Leicester school opens its doors to welcome Aspire People's teachers.
We are really looking forward to meeting lots of lovely new Supply Teachers at our Open Days! Durham 5th October and Newcastle 9th November. Click here for further details: http://firstclasssupply.co.uk/signmeup.php
We are delighted to be offering the fabulous CPD course from TheSupplyTeacher.com as a prize along with a delicious chocolate hamper! You will be automatically entered into the draw when you attend. This really is an excellent prize and an invaluable course for all Teachers working on supply.

Due to the high volumes of work we currently have in and a shortage of teachers we are offering all teachers who come and work for us in Newcastle, Durham and Chelmsford an additional £100 one off bonus payment as soon as they have completed 10 days work. In a similar initiative we are also offering all our existing teachers and support staff £100 if they refer friend who completes 10 days work.
Welcome to Vision for Education's new office in Durham! Launched in August 2013, the team cover Durham, Darlington, Sunderland, Hartlepool and all areas in between.
Specialising in EYFS, KS1 and KS2, and ready to help you find the right schools in which to start your supply teaching career are:
· Vicki Ayres - Branch Manager
· Elouise Fisher - Assistant Manager
· Katie Young - Education Consultant
Vicki and her team are based at the beautiful Rivergreen Centre, Aykley Heads, and had a lovely summer inviting all of their teachers into the new branch for tea and coffee. However, the big celebration and launch of Vision for Education's Durham Branch is yet to come:
"On Friday 4th October we are having a launch party at The Head of Steam in Durham and we are inviting all of our teachers and schools to attend. This is guaranteed to be a great night for everyone and hopefully we will go off with a bang." Vicki
Here at The Supply Teacher, we wish the team all the best for the future!
A business at the forefront of educational excellence in the North East has teamed up with the Newcastle United Foundation to provide funding for a series of free lessons which will reach up to 15,000 school children.
First Class Supply, which is the fastest-growing teaching supplier and training agency in the North East, has thrown its weight behind the charity’s Toon Times project, which aims to use the power of football to engage children across 430 schools over the next three years.
Toon Times gives children the opportunity to learn about the long and illustrious history of Newcastle United using a number of influential personalities and historic artefacts, as well as the chance to recreate their favourite Magpies moments from across the decades during the free two-hour lessons.
