From Staffroom Education, Cardiff:
We think Supply for Lunch is a fantastic idea and completely in line with our company tag line ‘Placing you First’.
We decided to host a get together from 4.30pm onwards on Tuesday, December the 3rd. It was just our way of saying THANK YOU for all your hard work during the year so far, and a nice opportunity for you to relax and share your supply stories with us.
We started around 4.30pm and it was wonderful to see a good turn out. We had refreshments, pizza, homemade cakes and decorated the office with Christmas decorations to get everyone into the festive spirit! It was lovely to finally put a face to some names and catch up with the teachers that do so much for us on a regular basis. It’s not often that we get everyone together so we made the most of sharing all of our stories about teaching and just how our day in general had gone. We understand that sometimes supply teaching can be particularly lonely, when you’re constantly on the move and don’t get time to stop and chat. As a result we decided our main aim was to introduce all of our teachers to one another so that if they ever crossed paths whilst working in the same school, they’d definitely be able to stop and catch up… which we successfully achieved! All in all our evening went really well.
Consultants from Principal Resourcing in Leeds delivered festively presented homemade mince pies to schools where their candidates are... Providing a real focus and talking point for staff and supply teachers alike during Supply for Lunch!
First Class Supply in Whitely Bay invited all candidates who weren't working on 3rd December to join them for a buffet lunch in their offices. The lunch was extended to late afternoon for those that had been working that day so they could pop in after school for a post work nibble and natter!
Sunderland's Premier Teachers' MD Mike Donnelly will be visiting one of his lucky supply teachers over lunch!
