EYPS is proud to support National Supply Teacher Week 2015. This is the second year running we have been involved in this fantastic campaign which supports and celebrates the great work supply teachers do day in, day out.
EYPS support all of the aims of NSTW but this year in particular we will be demonstrating commitment to the following two aims:
- To support supply teachers with their professional development
- To help combat the recurring feeling amongst supply teachers of isolation
As a supply agency it’s our priority to find supply teachers work but we also like to offer more. We hold regular free training workshops and sessions with head teachers, education consultants and Ofsted inspectors. This means that our teachers don’t miss out on professional development opportunities whilst working on supply. Our next workshops are with Ofsted Inspector and former head teacher, Julie Bowman. Julie will be helping teachers to secure jobs by providing advice on applications, interview questions, lesson observations and trial days.
EYPS also understand that supply work can sometimes bring apprehensions and feelings of isolation. Our welcoming and friendly team continually aim to combat these feelings amongst supply teachers. We do this by acting as a supportive network who are always at hand to help with any queries or concerns, 24 hours and day, 7 days a week. We want our supply teachers to feel that they are not on their own and are part of Team EYPS. We are often praised for our support, a teacher recently commented “I would like to thank you all for the fantastic support, encouragement, motivation and work that you have given me. You really are all fabulous.”
In honour of National Supply Teacher Week 2015 we will be entering all of our supply teachers into a prize draw with the opportunity to win a selection of prizes including a £25 shopping voucher, box of chocolates and bottle of bubbly!
