CPD for Supply Teachers - About the Authors

About the Authors

Helen Wright is a former recruitment and training provider who has worked in a variety of industry sectors.   A BA(Hons) graduate in History from the University of Leeds, she went on to study a Postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management at Thames Valley University.   She has worked with children and young people as an instructor at an outdoor adventure centre, and in schools delivering elements of the Aim Higher programme, which encouraged students in school to consider further and higher education options.

Sharon Wood, aka NuttySupplier, is a former primary teacher.  After many years at the chalk face as a full-time teacher, a change of location led to a change of heart, and she decided to become a career supply teacher.  Sharon launched SupplyBag.co.uk in 2005, TheSupplyTeacher.com in 2013, and created National Supply Teacher Week, held in the 3rd week of June each year.  Sharon would dearly have loved to return to supply teaching following the birth of her son, but is unfortunately unable to due to health problems.
